Northwest Ohio Writers Forum presents Nebula-award winning author Mary Turzillo, April 16

At their April 16th meeting, the Northwest Ohio Writers Forum will present science fiction author Mary Turzillo at the Sanger Branch Library, 3030 West Central Avenue, in Toledo. The meeting takes place from 10 a.m. to noon and is free and open to the public. She will discuss plot and character development, and world-building, during her presentation and lead the group through interactive exercises.

Noted primarily for her short stories, Mary Turzillo won the Nebula Award for Best Novelette in 2000 for her story “Mars is No Place for Children”, published originally in Science Fiction Age. Her story “Pride,” published originally in Fast Forward 1, was a Nebula award finalist for best short story of 2007. Her
first novel, An Old Fashioned Martian Girlwas serialized in Analogmagazine in 2004.
