Mastretta MXT, an important milestone in the Mexican automotive industry
The Mastretta MXT, a small sports car that is planned to start production this year, will mark an important milestone in the Mexican automotive industry.
This is, in fact, the very first automobile fully designed and developed in Mexico by Mexican engineers; the production target of 150 vehicles the first year of production is very modest compared to those of the large manufacturers like Ford or Toyota; however, the goal is to compete with the smaller car manufacturers like Lotus, taking that under consideration the target of Daniel Mastretta is very attainable.
Daniel Mastretta, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial engineering by the Iberoamericana University, is the President and CEO of Tecnoidea; he, in collaboration with his brother Carlos, has been involved in the Mexican automotive industry for over 20 years, mainly developing buses that are common for public transportation in Mexico.
2011 will be a year to be remembered in the Mexican auto industry when the dream of two brothers becomes a reality and the first production Mastretta rolls-off the assembly line. The future looks promising and we wish the best to these brave entrepreneurs and fellow Mexicans.

Mastretta MTX, un importante hito en la industria automotriz mexicana
Esta planeado comenzar este año la producción del automóvil deportivo Mastretta MXT, lo cual marcará una hito importante en la industria automotriz mexicana.
Este es, en realidad, el primer automóvil completamente diseñado y desarrollado en México y por ingenieros mexicanos; el objetivo es alcanzar 150 vehículos en el primer año de producción lo cual es muy modesto comparado a lo de los grandes fabricantes como Ford o Toyota, sin embargo la meta es competir con los fabricantes de autos pequeños como Lotus, tomando esto en consideración la meta de Daniel Mastretta es muy alcanzable.
El Sr. Daniel Mastretta quien posee un título en Ingeniería industrial de la Universidad Iberoamericana es el Presidente y Director Ejecutivo de Tecnoidea, él en colaboración con su hermano Carlos han estado envueltos en la industria mexicana automotriz por más de 20 años, principalmente en el desarrollo de autobuses utilizados para la transportación pública en México.
Como se mocionó anteriormente, 2011 será definidamente un año para recordar en la industria automotriz mexicana, cuando el sueño de dos hermanos se hace realidad y la primera producción de Mastretta salga de la línea de montaje. El futuro se ve prometedor!
