Celebración del Bicentenario en Detroit y Toledo

El Consulado México en Detroit, tiró la casa por la ventana al celebrar en grande el Bicentenario de la Independencia  y Centenario de la Revolución Mexicana, este pasado  15 de septiembre del 2010.

Y que mejor lugar para esta celebración que el Museo de Artes de Detroit (DIA) donde se encuentra el salón de Diego Rivera.  Un salón que muestra los murales que Diego Rivera pintó inspirados en la fábrica de Henry Ford. Murales que fueron de mucha controversia al mostrar trabajadores de diferentes razas e imagines que en esos tiempos fueron criticadas como pornografía y no como arte.

Diego Rivera llegó a Detroit junto con su esposa Frida Kahlo en marzo de 1932 y comenzó a pintar los murales del salón a partir de abril para dar por terminado en marzo de 1933.

El conmemorativo grito fue presentado por el Cónsul Vicente Sánchez Ventura, quien recibió la bandera de manos del Cónsul Alternó Jorge Sánchez.

A este evento asistieron algunos de los latinos más influyentes del área de Detroit y Ohio, pero no todos eran mexicanos, y mucho preguntaban exactamente cuál es la historia de México.

Así que para los que no están relacionados con la historia de México, aquí les van un poquito.   

México comenzó la lucha por la independencia el 16 de septiembre del 1810, esta lucha al principio fue encabezada por el cura Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla y el General Ignacio Allende.  La lucha por la independencia duró aproximadamente once años durante los cuales mucha gente estuvo al frente del ejército insurgente, hasta que en 1821 México se proclama un país independiente y por esa razón este año se celebraron 200 años de Independencia también conocido como el Bicentenario.
 

Pero quien iba a pensar que 100 años después, en 1910 se iniciaría la revolución mexicana por Francisco I Madero, quien  era apoyado por la clase obrera y campesina para derrocar el régimen de Porfirio Díaz Mori, personaje con más de 35 años de dictadura. La revolución mexicana es celebrada el 20 de noviembre y este 20 de noviembre se celebraran 100 años, el primer Centenario de la Revolución.

Ya que saben un poquito más de México nos podemos dar cuenta que estamos viviendo una año muy conmemorativo y que estamos siendo parte de historia de este mundo, no importa en donde celebraste el Bicentenario, lo que importa es que fuiste parte de esta increíble celebración.

Y otros que estuvieron celebrando el Bicentenario fueron  los que asistieron al restaurante el Camino Real en Toledo, Ohio. Pues desde el 16 de septiembre los del Camino con lluvia y todo comenzaron una celebración llena de  música, sombreros y regalos que duro todo el fin de semana y dicen que seguirá en el patio hasta que se acabe el calor.
