UT gathers experts to focus on recovering economy with local business owners
Northwest Ohio business owners gain the insight of leading experts to help them through these difficult times during a special program, “The Future of Your Business in a Recovering Economy: 2010 Outlook,” sponsored by The University of Toledo Center for Family & Privately-Held Business and the UT College of Business Administration Alumni Affiliate. It was held at the Toledo Club beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2009.
Featured speakers included:
- Patrick E. Rea, former Midwest Region administrator for the United States Small Business Administration.
- Gene Collins, executive-in-residence within the UT College of Business Administration and former manager of Citigroup’s trading desks on Wall Street, where he managed over $24 billion in assets.
- Peter A. Gold, Esq., principal, The Gold Group, which consults with business, higher education and national decision makers.
- Dr. Thomas Gutteridge, dean of the UT College of Business Administration, will moderate the program.
“Last year at this time these panelists offered area business owners helpful ideas for getting through the struggling economy,” said Debbe Skutch, director of the UT Center for Family & Privately-Held Business. “Serving our role as an important economic and business resource to the community, we wanted to bring these experts together again to guide business owners who want to know when it's safe to invest in new projects and begin hiring again as the economy begins to recover.”
