This next quote comes from a young Latina who is from South Toledo. She is very active in her school, Libbey HS, and community and would like to be a student at the University of Toledo. Read what she has to say about “I Pledge to Vote This Year” campaign for 2010.

Jane Ramírez: “As a Latina, I pledge to vote this year so the voices of young teenagers can be heard. As president of a Spanish club in high school, we need more Latino/a leaders. Latinos have a lot to say but we can’t find a way to say it. Latino voices are stronger when they come together.”
