WSU hosts its annual Scholars Day

Wayne State University continues hosting its annual Scholars Day freshman recruitment event this weekend, Feb. 13-14, 2010, 8:30AM-1:00PM.  Scholars Day is a series of invitation-only events during which Wayne State’s Honors Program recruits its freshman class from the university’s most promising first-year applicants. During the event, students participate in group interviews, campus tour, and various presentations.

Every student who attends Scholars Day becomes a Wayne State Scholar and receives a scholarship of $2,000 per year for four years. As a result of a small-group interview and review of a writing sample, as well as grade-point average and test score, some students will receive increased scholarship offers, up to and including four-year, full-tuition Presidential Scholarships.
