Mandros files petitions to run for Lucas County Common Pleas Judge 

Jan. 13, 2010: Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Lucas County Dean P. Mandros has filed petitions to run for Lucas County Common Pleas Court Judge.

For the past twenty-eight years, Dean Mandros has served Lucas County as Assistant Lucas County Prosecutor, where he is the Chief of the Criminal Division. “As Chief of the Criminal Division, my responsibilities include supervising 27 staff attorneys, the formulation and implementation of policy decisions, felony indictment review, ethics compliance and staff training as well as trial litigation involving homicide and death penalty prosecutions,” said Mandros.

Mandros is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he graduated Cum Laude and The University of Toledo College of Law. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1980 and to the United States Supreme Court in 1987.

Mandros teaches Criminal Procedure at the University of Toledo College of Law and has instructed at the National College of District Attorneys, lecturing on legal issues in Ohio, Colorado, Utah, and South Carolina.

Mandros professional affiliations include: the Ohio State Bar Association, Toledo Bar Association, National District Attorney’s Association, Association of Government Attorneys in Capital Litigation, Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, and the Lucas County Cold Case Homicide Task Force.
