To the Editor of La Prensa,

I am writing in regards to our son, Rudy, who is 17 yrs old. He has been singing since the 6th grade. He recently auditioned and made the Michigan Regional Honors choir, which was held in Grand Rapids on January 12, 2010.

He was recognized by the Monroe Board of Education and attends Monroe High School. He has been in various musicals and plays throughout the years. 
 

He has been a participant of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, with a team for over 7 years. He was asked to audition to sing the National Anthem at the start of the relay. He was chosen to sing June 5, 2010 in Monroe.
 

This is special to him because he relays in memory of his grandfather Richard Rodríguez (lung cancer), uncle Porfirio Rodríguez (pancreatic cancer), aunts Rosa Ramonez,(lung cancer) and Susie Rodríguez (ovarian cancer), cousin Alvina Casanova (breast cancer), and many friends. 

Our team DADDYS DAUGHTERS & SONS has won the trophy for the MOST SPIRIT 3 yrs in a row. We just wanted to let you how proud his family is of him.
