Toledo’s TARTA modifies schedules

Beginning Sunday, Dec. 27, 2010, TARTA has eliminated some of its routes.

The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) approved a 12-percent reduction in services because of a loss in government revenue and fewer riders—that means reduced weekend and holiday schedules. The last bus to leave downtown, for example, is 10:50 pm on weeknights, and routes with low ridership will be eliminated.

Bus fares remain unchanged, costing $1 for adult riders. Seniors and people with disabilities will still be able to ride for $0.50.
