The Reform Immigration for America coalition plans a large rally in support of comprehensive immigration reform and immigrants rights on:
Monday, October 12, 2009, 7:00 PM
@Holy Redeemer Church, 1721 Junction Street, Detroit, Michigan
The event will support a delegation of leaders from Michigan traveling to Washington DC for a march for immigrants rights the next day. Faith leaders from across the region will bless the marchers and their vans before the journey to Washington.
“It’s incredibly important that the community support the campaign for immigration reform,” said Juana Vargas, a leader in Holy Redeemer Church and MOSES, “We need to stand up Detroit and in Washington DC to tell Congress that we will not be ignored any longer. Our families are suffering terribly. Please, support our struggle at the rally on Monday, October 12.”
