August 21, 2009: Sonia Troche, Executive Director of Adelante, Inc., based in Toledo OH, announced its new Board of Directors and Executive Officers for 2009.

The new members of the Board of Directors are:  Lewis Huerta (Account Executive of The Lucas County Workforce Development Agency), Dr. Rubén Viramontez-Anguiano (Professor Bowling Green State University), attorney Angelita Cruz-Bridges (Director of Operations/General Counsel for the Lucas County Auditor), Ammar Mufleh (Entrepreneur & Investor), Carol Zielinski (Assistant Director of Human Resources of the Toledo Zoo), Carrie L. Sponseller (attorney at Law at Eastman & Smith Ltd.), Bruce Rumpf (CEO and President of Job1USA), Lisa Olvera (Account Executive at Corporate Intelligence Consultants), John C. Jones (CEO of The Greater Toledo Urban League), and Wendy Ziems (Dean of Academics at Stautzenberger College).

The newly elected Executive Officers include: Dan Briones (Business Development Manager of Air Force One) as Board Chair, Linda Ewing (Vice President Community Affairs of Fifth Third Bank) as Board Vice Chair, Jeremy Gutiérrez (Vice President Market Manager of Huntington Banks) as Treasurer, Richard McCray (Retired Firefighter) as Secretary, and Josh Flores (Waite High School instructor) as President Emeritus.  This new leadership will serve a two-year term, through May 2011.
