Get Your Green On: Family Style @ Your Library!
The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library is introducing a series of three programs geared toward parents and families interested in living a greener lifestyle. The programs are scheduled on Mondays, from 7-8 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room of Children’s Library (second level) at Main Library, 325 Michigan St., Toledo.
September 14: BABY STEPS: “I want to go green with my children, but I’m not sure where to start” . . . this program will supply you with ideas and resources that are both good for the planet and your family. Meet other parents and families with similar interests and share any tips that you have found particularly useful in your quest for a healthy, happy family and world.
October 5: LET’S DO LUNCH: Did you know 25 percent of the world’s garbage comes from food and food container waste? During this program we’ll talk about how to pack a healthy lunch that’s better for your family and the planet.
November 9: A HEALTHY HOME: An environmentally healthy house protects both the health of your family and the health of the planet. Learn how to green up your home and meet other parents with similar interests.
