Giant Puppets Invade Library!

Madcap Puppets visit three locations August 6

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library welcomes the Cincinnati-based giant puppet company Madcap Puppets for three shows of the exciting performance Once Upon A Clock on Thursday, August 6, 2009.

The FREE and open to the public shows are scheduled at 10 a.m. at the Kent Branch Library, 3101 Collingwood Blvd., at 2 p.m. in the Huntington Meeting Room at Main Library, 325 Michigan St., and again at 7 p.m. at the Maumee Branch Library, 501 River Rd.  Once Upon A Clock is designed for all age groups.

Once Upon A Clock is about two playmates, Alvis and Sydney, who are enticed by curiosity into their uncle’s clock shop to unlock its secrets. Each time they climb through a magical grandfather clock, they are whisked to a world where they become characters in exciting stories such as The Frog Prince (Germany), Sanji and the Tiger (India), and The Feathered Ogre (Italy). Fun soon turns to adventure when they get stuck in the clock. Will they find their way back before time runs out? Join us at Main, Kent, or Maumee branch locations on August 6 to find out!
