Mariachi Guadalajara and the folkloric dance group El Corazón de México began the entertainment 5:00PM, outside of the Home Plate entrance at Washington and Huron Streets—courtesy of El Camino Real Restaurants and the Toledo Mud Hens.

Scholarship recipients were recognized on the field at 6:15PM. The SAO recipients were: Savannah Frelin (Lourdes, $1,000), Jennifer Pioch (Lourdes, $1,000), and Ana Alicia Muñoz (Owens Community College, $650). La Prensa announced that Brian Salazar, a LASSO alumnus from St. Francis de Sales High School, was the recipient of a $500 scholarship. Salazar will be attending the University of Toledo.

Yvonne Ramos sang the National Anthem; Trinidad Rodríguez, a firefighter for 17 years, and Adam Martínez, candidate for Toledo City Council, threw out the first symbolic pitches for SAO and La Prensa, respectively.
