José C. Feliciano, Jr. elected president of the YLN
Cleveland, June 9, 2009: The Young Latino Network (YLN) has announced that José C. Feliciano, Jr. has been elected its president for term 2009-2011. José has been a member of YLN since 2006.
He is a Muskingum College Alumnus, Class of 2002, and is currently employed by Bank of America as a Loss Prevention Account Manager. José grew up in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and currently lives in Aurora, Ohio with his new wife Kellianne.
Other new members of the YLN Executive board include Ruth Ramos, Eradin Barrios, Luis Cartagena, and Frank Bacety.
José C. Feliciano, Jr. is an alumnus of the Cleveland Bridge Builders (Class of 2008), a program that provides leadership training and he is in Kaleidoscope Magazine’s Cuarenta y Cuarenta Club (2005), a yearly nomination of 40 African-Americans and Latinos under 40 years old who make significant contributions in the Greater Cleveland area.
José and Jerry Peña co-chair the Civic Involvement Committee for Convención Hispana 2010, an affiliate of the Hispanic Roundtable, which works to increase the political and civic participation and strength of Latinos in Ohio. José is also co-creator of the Cleveland-based blog, Sensory Overload, that showcases hip venues and events such as music, film, art gallery openings, and restaurants and bars around town.
