Brown Bag Concert Series @ Downtown Library

The 2009 Brown Bag Concert Series is a free nine-week music event that runs from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., on Wednesdays from June 3 through July 29, 2009, on the North Lawn of the Toledo-Lucas County Main Library, 325 Michigan Street.

June 24     Tom Turner and Slow Burn (Blues, Jazz and R&B)

July 1        Steve Jad (Acoustic Folk)

July 8        Just Kiddin’ Around (Children’s)

July 15      Glinda’s Bubble (Adult Rock)

July 22      Steve Athos (Acoustic Eclectic)

July 29      Quick Trio (Jazz)

Food and refreshment vendors will be on hand for those who don’t bring a brown bag lunch. 

Music by the River…the Mighty Maumee River

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library hosts Music by the River at the Maumee Branch Library, 501 River Rd, starting in June.

This free series is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, Tuesday, July 14, and Tuesday, August 11, 2009, on the front lawn of the Maumee Branch.  Music by the River will feature the sounds of the Maumee Community Band, a performing band supported and sanctioned by the City of Maumee. The band’s all-volunteer membership is dedicated to making a positive contribution to the musical environment of the area it serves.

Rain dates will be held on the following Tuesday of each scheduled date. The schedule is: June 9 (Rain date: June 16); July 14 (Rain date: July 21); and August 11 (Rain date: September 1).
