Studio Stars Exhibition showcasing the work of aspiring young artists

The Ann Arbor Art Center invites the community to the opening reception for the Studio Stars Exhibition on Saturday, May 30, 2009, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.  The exhibition features the work of the talented young area artists ages 9 – 12, who were selected to participate in the Roseann Hebeler Brown Endowment Fund Program

The hands-on studio art program is designed to strengthen the artistic technique and talent of the participants, who were selected because they exhibit extraordinary talent in the visual arts.

In conjunction with the Ann Arbor Art Center ’s 100th anniversary year, the 2009 curriculum incorporated art projects related to iconic artists and art movements from the past ten decades.  The Roseann Hebeler Brown Endowment Fund was established in 2002 to “train and inspire children in the visual arts.”  The fund was established in memory of an exceptional Ann Arbor artist who was guided throughout her life by her passion for art.

The Ann Arbor Art Center is dedicated to spreading the spark of Roseann’s creativity by providing opportunities for children to discover their own passion for the visual arts.  In an effort to decrease barriers and provide high quality art instruction to for all income levels, the 2009 RHB Endowment Fund program was offered completely free of charge.
