Hispanic UMADAOP celebrates its Second Annual Luncheon Fundraiser
Hispanic UMADAOP is hosting the second annual luncheon fundraiser with keynote speaker Dr. Russell S. Kaye, Executive Director of the Cuyahoga County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board.
This event will take place at Brennan’s Catering & Banquet Center, 13000 Triskett Road, Cleveland, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 20, 2009. This event is an opportunity for nonprofit organizations, corporations, and local foundations to network and enjoy good company while supporting our agency.
Established in 1989, the mission of Hispanic UMADAOP is to empower the Latino community to reduce the negative impacts of HIV/AIDS, violence, and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs through culturally sensitive, holistic prevention, education, intervention, treatment, and reentry programs.
According to its press release, Hispanic UMADAOP is the only Latino bicultural/bilingual nonprofit agency offering these services in Ohio—in the fiscal year 2007 to 2008, it served over 9,000 individuals and their families.
