Letter to the Editor:

I understand that there were some people that took issue with my previous Letter to the Editor written on the first week of March of 2009 [appeared in La Prensa on March 13, 2009—visit: https://laprensatoledo.com/Stories/2009/031309/Letter.htm].

Even though new to the area, I have a serious commitment to the Hispanic/Latino community and will work to do my best for all.

I hope that all those who feel the same will take my offer to build bridges of collaboration and continue to work together to advocate for justice, to work towards better living and working situations for now and for the children who are our future, and to raise up leadership for the good of all.

This is the challenge that I would like to invite all the leaders who serve the Hispanic community, to take up and work for justice, but especially for those vulnerable Brothers and Sisters of ours.

The future depends on us and it is up to us to transform society to become a better place.
