A Hot Artist Demonstration at the Ann Arbor Art Center

ANN ARBOR: In celebration of Michigan Glass Month the Ann Arbor Art Center presents a demonstration by hot glass artist Barb Yerace.  Barb will be demonstrating her techniques for creating hand-blown glass works of art and flame worked beads at the Ann Arbor Art Center on Saturday, April 18, 2009, from 12:00 – 3:00 pm.

Yerace’s passion for hot glass began when she was a student at Carnegie Mellon University and she has been refining and expanding her process ever since.   Her current works combine a variety of techniques that result in creating objects of beauty and intrigue - elaborate designs of texture and color.

The Ann Arbor Art Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging the community in the education, exhibition, and exploration of the visual arts.  In 2009, the Art Center is celebrating 100 years of being the “place where creativity and community meet.”
