Lourdes College’s 2009 Luminations features Toledo Ballet, Toledo Symphony, Toledo School for the Arts, and Tim Shew family
Lourdes College’s annual scholarship fundraising event, Luminations, will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009, in the Franciscan Theater and Conference Center. Chairman and CEO of Owens-Illinois, Inc. Al Stroucken and his wife Gerda will serve as Honorary Chairpersons for this year’s event.
Beginning at 6:00 p.m., guests will enjoy a cocktails and hors d’oeuvres reception with live music by the Toledo Symphony Jazz Trio as well as the kick-off of the silent auction.
At 8:00 p.m., a performing arts gala will feature the Toledo Ballet, Toledo School for the Arts, Toledo Symphony, and Broadway actor Tim Shew’s wife and son. Following the performance gala, desserts and after dinner drinks will be served.
Tickets for the black-tie event are $125 per person. All proceeds benefit student scholarships at Lourdes College. Since its inception in 2001, Luminations has raised approximately $800,000 to directly benefit students.
