Writers’ Forum looks at copyright laws

The Northwest Ohio Writers' Forum (NWOWF) holds their next monthly meeting Saturday, March 21, 2009, from 10:00 am to noon at the Sanger Library, 3030 West Central Ave. in Toledo. How to protect yourself and retain copyright is the topic for this meeting.

Richard G. Martin is the guest speaker. He is a partner in the firm of Fraser Clemens Martin & Miller LLC, an intellectual property law firm located in Perrysburg, Ohio. The firm’s attorneys assist clients with patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secret protection, IP licensing, and related intellectual property matters.

As new methods of publishing evolve, so will questions about who has rights to what and when.  Rick will shed some light on current events relating to publishing and intellectual property. The NWOWF helps its members to not only improve their writing but also to pursue the ultimate goal of publication.

All meetings of the Northwest Ohio Writers' Forum are open to the public.  Additional information about meetings and membership can be found at:  www.nwowf.com
