The school is now accepting applications for the second semester of 2009 as well as the 2009-2010 school year. As a public charter school, the Academy does not charge tuition or have a religious affiliation. The academy is open to any interested student.
According to its president, the academy emphasizes excellence in academic, physical, and character development; its curriculum is based on Ohio’s educational standards. President Baker says that staff members focus on helping every student develop knowledge, skills, and capabilities necessary to succeed in a college-preparatory high school setting. Students also have access to advanced courses in algebra, foreign language, sciences, and technology.
The Knight Academy has an extended school day and school year. The school day runs from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. School is in session from August through June.
