Crocodile suspected of eating 3 canines relocated, Croc becomes La Prensa’s Grinch of the Week

CORAL GABLES, Fla., Dec. 18, 2008 (AP): A message to residents in a Miami suburb: hold on to your dogs because Pancho the crocodile is coming.

If the federally protected reptile journeys back to the canals of Gables-by-the-Sea, and experts think it almost certainly will, the critter will be removed from the wild and given to a zoo or licensed private owner.

Lindsey Hord, the commission's crocodile response coordinator, said the crocodile measures 10-feet, 7-inches. Her advice to pet owners: keep your dog on a leash.
