DETROIT, Dec. 6, 2008 (AP): Two Michigan groups have been invited to march in the inaugural parade in Washington.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee on Friday said the Wyandotte Marching Chiefs of Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte were invited along with Michigan's Multi Jurisdictional Mounted Police Drill Team and Color Guard.
 

The committee says more than 1,300 organizations applied to participate.
