Those interested in exploring graduate school are invited to attend an open house at Lourdes College for its Education, Nursing and Organizational Leadership graduate programs on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008. The Lourdes graduate school open house will be held in the Franciscan Theatre & Conference Center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program builds upon a baccalaureate education to prepare graduates for advanced roles is nursing education and leadership. Emphasis is placed on nursing theory, research and practice to facilitate personal and professional development. The MSN program is divided into two separate specializations: nurse educator and nurse leader.
The Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL) program enhances students’ critical thinking, higher order reasoning and ethical virtue as leaders. The MOL utilizes the principles of leadership and their application to real-world leadership challenges. The program is open to current and prospective leaders at all levels within any organization.
The Master of Education (MED) program provides learning opportunities that address the professional development needs of today’s educator. By design, the program leads to the advancement of knowledge and instructional skills that provide the foundation for quality classroom instruction. The MED offers two specializations: P-12 reading and Teaching and Curriculum.
Lourdes’ open house offers prospective graduate school students the opportunity to meet with professors and current students and provides participants in-depth information about each of the degree programs.
