Women legislators group names Rep. Brown Ohio state director

COLUMBUS, Nov. 6, 2008: The Women Legislators’ Lobby (WiLL) announced the appointment of State Representative Edna Brown (D-Toledo) as State Director for Ohio.

WiLL President and Georgia State Sen. Nan Grogan Orrock praised Rep. Brown during the announcement in Washington, D.C. “WiLL recognizes the accomplishments of Rep. Brown and will benefit greatly from her leadership and vision as one of our State Directors,” Sen. Orrock said.

As a WiLL State Director, Rep. Brown will work with the national, non-partisan network of women legislators to influence legislation and budgetary policy at the federal and state levels.

“I am truly honored to be chosen for this prestigious position,” said Rep. Brown. “WiLL represents a strong collective voice for women, children, and families across our country, and I look forward to helping affect positive change that can benefit my constituents in Toledo and our neighbors nationwide.”

Rep. Brown will work with women from all 50 states to amplify women’s voices, promote women’s leadership, and support a national agenda that promotes true homeland security and prosperity for the state and nation.
