‘Arabian Nights’ starts Nov. 14 at UT
The University of Toledo Department of Theatre and Film stages Mary Zimmerman’s Arabian Nights, Friday, Nov. 14 thru Nov. 16, 2008 and Nov. 19 thru Sunday, Nov. 23. All performances are at 7:30 p.m. except for Sunday performances, which are at 2 p.m.
Arabian Nights is the classic tale of Scheherezade, a woman who delays death for 1001 nights by telling her husband, the king, one wondrous story after another. Through her powerful imagination and vivid storytelling, she saves not only her own life, but that of her husband, whose fear of betrayal has overwhelmed him and driven him to madness.
