East Toledo, Oct. 2008: The Hispanic Cultural Club (HCC) of Waite High School elected new officers. Felicidades to: Maribel Sandoval (Pres.), Miguel Martínez II (Vice Pres.), Christina Cruz (Secretary), Emilio Esparza (Treasurer), and Ramón Porras (Sgt.-at-Arms).

On Oct. 3, 2008, HCC members Maribel Sandoval, Miguel Martínez II, Jaime Castelerio, and Serena Vásquez attended Explosion III. On Oct. 14, many HCC members attended Latino Career Day at Lourdes College. HCC members are preparing for a Hot Tamale Sale and profits go to Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets for Latino families.

Waite HS’s Spanish Club elected new officers: Miguel Martínez II (Pres.), Brenda Aranda (Vice Pres.), Natalia García (Secretary), Emilio Esparza (Treasurer), Santoria Sawyer (Sgt.-at-Arms), and Victoria Escareño & Patricia Castillo (Historians).
