Letter to the Editor

Dear BGSU Faculty, Staff, Students and Latino Community Members:

We would like to personally invite you to attend Bowling Green State University’s 15^th Annual Latino Issues Conference on October 15^th, 2008, at 101 Olscamp, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. (Sessions 1-4). 

The conference is free, but the luncheon cost is $9.00, which includes buffet style—tequila almond chicken, calabacitas, frijoles a la charra, sopa de arroz , warm tortillas, and variety of desserts/beverage). 

Each year, the Latino Issues Conference (LIC) planning committee works hard to develop a strong program to discuss cultural issues that are affecting Latino communities nationwide.

This year’s luncheon keynote address features Rosita Lopez, Ed D. from Northern Illinois University; topic: Latinos in Education: Positioning for the Future.
