Fire!!! Safety

An informative and fun-free program on fire safety is being planned from 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at the Kent Branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, 3101 Collingwood Blvd.

The program, designed for youth but ideal for every age, will begin in Kent’s auditorium with a fire safety lecture from Toledo Fire Department educators. Toledo Fire Department’s two-level, 29-foot Fire Safety House trailer will be on hand filled with fake smoke.

A fire truck, and firefighters with gear will be present for safety demonstrations. Young participants will receive fire safety activity books and badges after their tour of the Fire Safety House trailer.
