Letter to the Editor,

The Hispanic Business Expansion and Attraction Partners—the Hispanic Business Association, the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners, the City of Cleveland, and Team NEO—would like to thank all of the exhibitors and attendees that made the Hispanic Business Expo a successful event.

The Hispanic Business Expo was held on June 26, 2008 at La Sagrada Familia Hall, located in Cleveland’s Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood. The event was sponsored by American Family Insurance, Fifth-Third Bank, the Spanish American Committee, Third Federal Bank, and First Merit Bank.

The Hispanic Business Expo was designed to give Hispanic and non-Hispanic businesses the opportunity to network with each other and members of the public. Over 40 exhibitors representing financial institutions, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and local businesses showcased their products to the community.

Cuyahoga County Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones and Cleveland City Councilman Joe Santiago addressed a crowd of over 200 attendees. Their message stressed the importance of Hispanic business expansion for Cuyahoga County’s future. The event also featured the unveiling of the Hispanic Business Attraction video, which will be used to promote Cuyahoga County as an ideal location for businesses to grow.
