UT, Library Host ‘Discover Downtown Toledo’ Walking Tours

The University of Toledo Urban Affairs Center and the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library have again planned a series of walking tours of downtown Toledo to help educate Toledoans about its own rich history and culture. The tours take place, rain or shine, every Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. beginning July 10 and offer participants a free copy of the award winning Discover Downtown Walking Tour Guidebook. Parking is free, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
 
July 10 - Fort Industry Square (Meet at Jefferson & Summit by the historic plaque)
July 17 - Historic Church of St. Patrick (Meet at 130 Avondale at 13th) 
July 24 - Panoramic Toledo (Meet on the east side of the river at the Docks by the Navy Bistro Restaurant)
July 31 - Martin Luther King Plaza (Meet inside Central Union Terminal on the upper level) 
Aug. 7 - Wall Street of Toledo (Meet at Madison & Huron)
Aug. 14 - View from the Rooftop (Meet at the corner of Madison & Michigan near the Main Library) 
Aug. 21 - Halls of Justice-Civic Center Mall (Meet at McKinley Statue at Courthouse on Adams)
Aug. 28 - Avenue of the Arts (Meet at the Professional Building at Monroe and Parkwood) 
Sept. 4 - Meet Me at The Oliver House (Meet at the plaza entrance to the Maumee Bay Brewing Company)
Sept. 11 - Extreme Makeover- The Casey Pomeroy House (meet at 802 Huron) 
Sept. 18 - Pop Flies in the Warehouse District (Meet at main entrance to Fifth Third Field at Huron and Washington)
