UT fights autism with kickboxing

Who:  The University of Toledo will raise funds for the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio (ASNO) by offering a Turbo Kick class followed by a raffle for prizes.  The class will be taught by Angela Green, assistant director of programming at UT’s recreation center and certified Turbo Kick trainer.

What:  A Turbo Kick class is a pre-choreographed kickboxing aerobics class inspired by martial arts and dance. Turbo Kick was originated in California and is designed to feel like a party, not a workout.

When:  The Turbo Kick class will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2008, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Where: The class will take place at UT’s Student Recreation Center basketball courts.

Why: The open event will promote awareness and raise funds for the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio by asking for $10 donations at the door.
