JUNIOR JAZZ JAM II at the downtown library

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and Toledo Public School junior high jazz ensembles presents Junior Jazz Jam II, scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, in the Wintergarden of Main Library, 325 Michigan Street, Toledo.

Byrnedale and DeVeaux junior high school jazz ensembles are scheduled to perform various jazz selections including Duke Ellington favorites to the music from Peter Gunn at this free concert event.

Junior Jazz Jam at Main Library was created by Dan Welch, the Toledo Public School’s small jazz ensemble director, who brought the idea to the Library last year.

“This is a great opportunity and unique location for our junior high students to showcase their musical talents in jazz performance,” said Mr. Welch again as this afternoon presentation is held for the second year in a row.

The public is invited to attend.  Underground parking is free for the first hour at Main Library.
