Law Enforcement and Public Safety Career Expo is April 26
The 8th Annual Law Enforcement and Public Safety Career Expo will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, in Columbus at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy at 740 E. 17th Avenue. The Expo opens from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and will feature federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies looking for qualified persons interested in pursuing a challenging and rewarding career.
This event attracts several hundred job seekers, who have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from over 25 different agencies, many of which are accepting applications on site. There will be recruiters from: Ohio State Highway Patrol, Columbus Division of Police, Ohio Department of Natural Resources-Wildlife, Ohio Department of Taxation, Ohio Department of Natural Resources-Watercraft, Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Delaware County Sheriff’s Department, Cincinnati Police, Ohio Department of Youth Services, South Bend Indiana Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Border Patrol, Dublin Division of Police, Marion Police Department, Whitehall Division of Police, Gahanna Police Department, Upper Arlington Police Department, Delaware City Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, Columbus Regional Airport Authority Police, Washington D.C. Metro Police Department, & the United States Army.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring along their résumé and any and all questions. The American Red Cross will also be conducting a blood drive onsite during the Expo.
