Ohio primary election absentee ballot application deadline approaches
Cleveland: Voters planning on voting absentee for the March 4, 2008 Primary Election must have their absentee ballot applications submitted to the Board of Elections by noon on Saturday, March 1, 2008. The Board of Elections in Cleveland will be open on March, 1 from 8:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. for receiving absentee applications and in-house absentee voting.
The Board of Elections will also be open on Saturday, February, 23 from 8:30 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. for receiving absentee applications and in-house absentee voting.
Voted absentee ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections by mail or in person by 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Voted absentee ballots can not be accepted at a polling location.
Voters are also reminded to bring identification if voting at a polling location on March 4th. Acceptable forms of identification are a current and valid photo identification such as a driver’s license or State of Ohio identification card, a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement or government check, paycheck or other government document.

Through the Board’s website voters can check their registration status, find their polling location and view a sample ballot.
