• Find gently-used books at Friends of the Library’s 2008 Book Sale! The Friends of the Library is now in its new location at the Reynolds Corners Shopping Center (southwest corner of Reynolds Road and Dorr Street).
The dates are: Thursday, January 31 – noon to 6 p.m. (FOL members only), and 6-8 p.m. (public sale); Friday, February 1 – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (public sale); and Saturday, February 2 – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (public sale). The prices are: Hardcover books $1; Paperbacks 50 ˘; Books on tape $1; Videos $1; & Magazines 25˘.
All proceeds benefit Friends of the Library and help support Library programs such as the Children’s Summer Reading Club and Authors! Authors! Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

• Authors! Authors! 2008 Spring Series
The 2008 Spring Authors! Authors! series presented by The Blade and arranged by the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library offers the community an exciting lineup of authors.
All Authors! Authors! events are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and are held at the Stranahan Theatre Great Hall, 4645 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo.
The Spring series begins with: Thursday, February 7 – David Yonke, The Blade’s Religion Editor: Yonke’s debut book Sin, Shame & Secrets, investigates the true story and chilling ritual murder of a Roman Catholic nun at the hands of a Toledo priest.
