Cirilo Martínez appointed to Home Base Child Care

This appointment is not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.

LANSING: Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced on Jan. 18, 2008, the appointment of Cirilo Martínez of Paw Paw to the Michigan Home Based Child Care Board of Directors. Martínez is an attorney at the law office of Cirilo Martínez, PLLC; his term expires on Sept. 7, 2011.  He succeeds Patricia Oviedo.

The Michigan Home Based Child Care Council focuses on improving the quality of child care provided in home settings.  The council is charged with making recommendations to public agencies, public bodies, or public officials regarding regulations, legislation, appropriations, and programs in regard to the system of providing child care in Michigan.


This appointment is not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.

Martínez informed La Prensa that “I am excited to serve on this Board and am looking forward to the future challenges that this appointment will bring.”
