OSCAR Night with the Red Cross
On Wednesday, January 23, 2008, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., you will find hairstylists and makeup artists fussing over women in glamorous gowns and glittering jewels. It may sound like Hollywood, but it is Prelude to OSCAR Night at Harold Jaffe Jewelers.
The event is hosted by the Greater Toledo Area Chapter of the American Red Cross as a preview to their premier fundraising gala, OSCAR Night on February 24th. Nearly 500 people attended last year’s OSCAR Night fundraiser, netting more than $56,000 with the proceeds directly helping people in need in northwest Ohio.
Attendees of Prelude to OSCAR Night will not only be treated to hors d’oeuvres, wine and dessert courtesy of The Beirut and Poco Piatti, they will mingle with local models wearing top fashion ensembles from Sophia Lustig and Gallippo’s as well of some the area’s most exclusive jewels from Harold Jaffe Jewelers. In addition, they will be receiving one-on-one beauty, hair and make-up advice. Last year, close to 100 women attended the event, and this year the Red Cross anticipates the event will be sold out.
The cost for this ladies-only event is $25 with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Greater Toledo Chapter of the American Red Cross. Call 419.329.2619 to make your reservation.
