La Revancha Reunion, December 1st at El Zarape, Howards

The members are: Leonardo Ruiz (rhythm guitar, vocals), Kat Jara (violin), Joe Zimmet (trumpet),  Mike Dooley (electric guitar), Blaine Smead (electric guitar), Josh Smith (bass guitar), & Jason Parrit (drums/percussions). They return on Dec. 1, 2007 to Bowling Green, Ohio.   

While some members have relocated, La Revancha continues to be a unit. Josh Smith moved to Denver in 2007 as a manager of Jimmy John’s. Leonardo Ruiz relocated to Los Angeles in Dec. of 2005 as the Director of Marketing of Chivas USA, a role that he would have until May of 2007 when he accepted a position as a Sales and Marketing Consultant for Univision Radio, Los Angeles. Kat Jara sojourned to Perú for 2 years to help fund a classical music program with children and teach. Joe Zimmet is the master chef of a BG’s senior home. Blaine Smead, Mike Dooley, & Jason Parrit continue working at their construction business in Bowling Green and music projects.

La Revancha performed in 2007 at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood for the BMI Latin Showcase. La Revancha has performed at the Huntington Park Independence Festival and at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach. The band is working on their third album which they plan to release in 2008.
