Carissa Romero inducted into Phi Beta Kappa

Carissa Romero, a senior at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa on November 12, 2007.

A Psychology major, Carissa is also an elected member of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology. Carissa is an Honor Thesis Student in the Child Study Center of the Spatial Cognition Laboratory at Emory University. She is developing a mental rotation task for 2-3 year olds for her thesis.

Carissa is a member of Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority, Volunteer Emory, and Pawsitive Outreach. She graduated in 2004 as Valedictorian of Lorain Catholic High School. She is the daughter of Joanette and Richard Romero of Lorain, Ohio.

Phi Beta Kappa is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious honors organization. Election to Phi Beta Kappa is based on scholarship, breadth of culture, and general promise.
