Ohio Village hosts Thanksgiving Dinner and Concert Nov. 18

COLUMBUS: The custom of giving thanks for good fortune and the year’s harvest is the oldest and certainly the most U.S.-American of our national holiday traditions. Dating back to the Pilgrims, the Thanksgiving celebration is a day of sharing and feasting.  The Ohio Historical Society offers “In Praise of Thanksgiving Dinner Concert” on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, 4 to 7 p.m. at Ohio Village.

As a prelude to your own Thanksgiving holiday, Ohio Village invites the public to enjoy a traditional holiday. A beautiful and inspiring concert by the Ohio Village Singers at the Ohio Village Church will be followed by a bountiful harvest dinner American House Hotel. Fee is $57 or $47 for OHS members. For reservations, call 614.297.2266 or 800.686.1541. Parking is $4 per vehicle and free to OHS members.

Ohio Village is a re-created town of the 19th century and is located next to the Ohio Historical Center at I-71 and 17th Avenue in Columbus. For more information, call 614.297.2300 or visit www.ohiohistory.org.
