Central wins Adelante’s Soccer Tournament and $1,500
Sylvania OH: Central of Toledo won first place in Adelante’s second annual soccer tournament last weekend at Pacesetter Park in Sylvania, according to co-director Richard Parish. Parish is on the board of directors of Adelante and he co-directed the tournament with Manuel Zapata, who is the president of La Liga de Las Américas.
Central defeated second place Real Sociedad of Columbus, 2 to 1 in overtime. Guadalupe of Toledo was third, followed by Columbus’s Metapan.
