Latino Career Day at Lourdes College’s Franciscan Center

Lourdes College and the Toledo Public Schools hosted its annual Latino Career Day on Oct. 10, 2007.

According to José Luna of TPS, “this is the 13th year of the event. We had 160 students from area high schools such as Libbey, Bowsher, Woodward, and Waite.”

Break Out Sessions were held with speakers: José Limón Jr (photo above) of General Motors, Denise McCluskey and Robin Riley-Casey of Lourdes, Denise Soto of Salon Professional Academy, Dr. Anthony Peguero, assistant professor of Miami University, Edward Granados of the City of Toledo’s Fire Dept., Terry Bishop, Outreach Recruiter of the Carenters Union, Sandy Tellefsen of Lourdes, and Marc Moralez of Lourdes College and Kimbery Yost, actor.

Lunch followed.
