EARTH EXPO hosted by the Sisters of St. Francis and Lourdes College
On Oct. 27, 2007, the Sisters of St. Francis, the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan Friends of Planet Earth and Lourdes College will host an Earth Expo at the Franciscan Center. The expo, a fun and interactive event highlighting conservation and Earth-friendly efforts by area representatives, runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The Earth Expo features exhibits by area organizations, civic leaders and businesses who are taking various steps to help the environment. Some of the exhibitors include: Decker Homes, Do It Best Hardware of Sylvania, Franciscan Sisters of Tiffin, IHM Sisters of Monroe, Life Lab of Lourdes College, Oak Openings Region Conservatory, Rain Garden Initiative of Toledo-Lucas County, S.A.V.E., St. Ursula Academy, Sylvania Pine Cone Gallery and soaps, Tiffin Franciscan Earth Literacy Center, & The University of Toledo – Urban Affairs Center
The mini-Earth Expo follows the October 25 event that the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring on Alternative Energy at Lourdes College.
