Editor’s Note: Benito Lucio,Jr., who is the Ohio Monitor Advocate/Ombudsmen of Ohio’s Bureau of Workforce Services, informed La Prensa, “This is a great opportunity for our community to be part of this great game and a game many farmworkers enjoy playing at their respective camps. With the farmworkers working and very little play, the fact that the Crew is reaching out to them to get them involved with the team is a great thing and something that hopefully we can in the future build on and do other things with youth and families. Eduardo Carvacho of the Crew has been fantastic and his devotion to the game and his desire to bring families to the Crew games is very notable. He is a great role model for Latino youth interested in pursuing a career in soccer—he is a former All-American in soccer.”

Carvacho, a native of Chile, is the Crew’s Director of Hispanic Business Development.
