Monroe Area-Wide Tent Revival features Baldemar Velásquez

Monroe: Frank Turner, known to millions of viewers for his television ministry of “God’s Amazing Grace” and former Emmy winning investigative reporter and anchor for Detroit's ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV Channel 7, will be the main speaker for the first two nights of the Monroe Area-Wide Tent Revival.

The Monroe Area-Wide Tent Revival(MATR) services will last from Aug. 3rd – Aug. 19, 2007, with 7:00pm services being held nightly and 10:30am services on Sunday. The MATR will be held at the Old Detroit Stoker Parking Lot on Front Street, across the street from Hellenberg Park, in Monroe, Michigan.

The MATR is a multi-denominational and multi-ethnic event, designed to enhance unity among local congregations without regards to denominational affiliation.

Scheduled speakers include: Baldemar Velásquez of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC), Rev. Percy McCray of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Dr. Helen Brown of Trinity Faith Tabernacle, Tony Scott of Cathedral of Praise (Toledo), and International Evangelists Syd and Liz Doyle. For a full list of speakers with biographies, please visit www.trinityfaithchristainfellowship.org.

The MATR is the vision of Monroe minister, James Seay, pastor of Trinity Faith Christian Fellowship and a chaplain at the local ACH (Formerly Ford) plant.  He saw the tent as a neutral place for churches of all denominations and ethnic backgrounds to meet and worship together as “The Church at Monroe.”
