Ohio teen ranked 4th in national horse show 

Alannah Abrams, 16, of Findlay, OH, placed 4th in English Showmanship and 8th in Equitation at the prestigious national All American Youth Horse Show, held in May, 2007 at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus.  This annual competition draws over a thousand riders and their horses.

Alannah, who will be a junior next year at Liberty-Benton High School in Findlay, Ohio, is an honors student.  She will also be taking post-secondary college courses at the University of Findlay this fall. 

She is an active member of Liberty-Benton's FFA (Future Farmer's of America) where she has won numerous state, regional and local awards, including placing 13th out of 452 in the state’s horse judging competition; 5th in the state’s sophomore division for job interview; and won the coveted 110% Award given by the Agricultural Credit Association to recognize Outstanding Achievement in Agricultural Education. 

She is also Liberty-Benton’s FFA reporter.  Her reporter’s scrapbook achieved a state gold-rating for her school. 

Alannah is a seven-year member of Wood County’s 4-H Program and has been vice-president of her club for two years.  She participates in the Drama and Spanish Clubs and enjoys music and voice.

Among her future goals are riding for the Israeli Equestrian Olympic Team, which is managed through the Israel Equestrian Federation (IEF).  She is undecided as to a career objective.

She is the daughter of Nancy and Alan Abrams. 

Her horse is Dude’s Black Mist.
