Daisy Martínez joins Authors! Authors!

The spring series of Authors! Authors! concludes with PBS cooking show host Daisy Martínez, scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at 7:00PM, at the Stranahan Theater, 4645 Heatherdowns Boulevard, Toledo.

Author of Daisy Martínez Cooks: Latin flavors that will Rock Your World (Hyperion, 2006), Martínez’s cooking has it all - vibrant colors, remarkable flavors and a keen sense of tradition. Martínez is passionate about her culture and most of all, its food.

As host of the PBS show Daisy Cooks!, Martínez familiarizes viewers with food markets and favorite ingredients of the Latin kitchen. She illustrates simple steps to make Latin-inspired cuisine, while teaching techniques passed down from her mother and grandmother.

Martínez will speak for about an hour, followed by a short question and answer session. Following the program, Martínez will sign copies of her cookbook. Books will be available for purchase at the program from Borders. For details, call 419.259.5266, Toledo-Lucas County Public Library.
